The rep(won't say his name) at the desk just looked at me. I asked if I can speak to a used sales car rep and he said he was able to assist. I asked him if I can return my vehicle and purchase a used vehicle to avoid the disposition fee. He asked what kind of car I had and what was I looking for. I told him I have a 330E and I wanted to purchase a used convertible. He then told me that my car was not worth anything at all and to just return it end of lease and start new with a vehicle purchase. I was confused. He said they were getting a demo convertible to sell, but he had no idea anything about it. He made a smirk comment to me that the vehicle would only be about $5,000 of sticker price. He didn't seem like he was in the mood to help and that he was bothered by me. I didn't feel like I was getting anywhere with him so I walked out of the dealer and did some research online about end of lease.\nI called the BMW dealer in North Hollywood and I got a total different attitude. They were very helpful and told me to bring the vehicle for trade in and that I can avoid the disposition fee with a trade in for used vehicle. I called to make an appointment to fix a Land Rover, described the issue, and waited for a call back.  Tim, the service manager, called back.  He recommended having the car towed to the dealership.  When asked when the car could be repaired, he answered that it would be the end of July.  (This happened on June 3).  I asked why a one year old car would need to be towed and then couldn’t be repaired for nearly two months.  He provided a litany of excuses such as he didn’t have enough mechanics, some of his staff had to under go mandatory training, and that he had numerous cars on the lot that had been sitting there for several weeks without being seen yet. He asked me (!) how he was supposed to determine which cars should be seen first and explained in a not terribly friendly way that everyone wanted their car to be seen first.  He then suggested that I call the Ventura Dealership.  I did, and they took the car on the same day and had it repaired the following day.\nIf you want a service department that will keep your car for weeks without being looked at and to hear the reasons why your year old $100,000 car can’t be fixed for two months, this is the place for you! I have been a customer of MBZ, BMW, and now Porsche within the SB Group.\n\nMost recently, my experience at the Porsche dealership was so disappointing that I decided to take my car to Westlake for all of my maintenance and future purchases. The staff at SB Porsche is inexperienced, and on top of that, they attempt to rip you off, for lack of a better word.\n\nFor example, they told me the cable for my seat cooling fan was damaged and disconnected, and that it would cost $400 to fix. Fast forward: I went to Rusnak, and they told me the cooling seat cable was simply unplugged. They fixed it immediately, obviously at no charge.\n\nOn top of that, SB Group tried to upsell me on the 20K routine Porsche maintenance when I had just purchased the car as a Certified vehicle only five months prior. What did they try to upsell me on for a recently certified purchase? Spark plugs and a bunch of other items such as oil, filters, etc., which would have cost north of $3,000.\nThey would not even bother looking up the records or contacting the dealership where the car was purchased to check the maintenance history. They simply said that since the maintenance wasn’t done at their dealership, they wouldn’t know anything about the records. Any professional and honest service staff would make an effort to find out by contacting the dealership where the car was purchased. That is exactly what Westlake Porsche did, and they set the record straight.\n\nThis is not even mentioning that the two times I went to the SB dealership, they never returned the car washed, as any well-run and professionally managed dealership would.\nCase in point: Westlake Village Porsche was far more professional, well managed, and returned my car washed.\n\nI would not recommend anyone go to the SB Group unless you are comfortable paying for whatever they ask with your eyes closed. She drove a few vehicles and made a purchase. Promises were made for an “excellent detail” on the used vehicle (it had previously had dogs in it). They sent her away with a loaner so they could detail the one she purchased. One and a half weeks later she picked up her car, which had definitely not been fully detailed. It looked as if it had been quickly vacuumed and that was it. Still smelled, had something sticky in several places, dirty headliner, dirty seats. Gas tank was half full (she had been promised it would be full). One tire also has a plug in it, which is pretty disappointing, and seems like an easy fix the dealer should have taken of from a safety perspective. I would not recommend this dealership—in fact I would say that it was the most disappointing car purchase I have ever experienced.
